Godfrey Marine introduced the first all aluminum pontoon boat in 1958 at the
Chicago Boat Show. By 1959 Godfrey was the first pontoon boat builder to meet
and exceed ALL of the NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association)
standards. By 1984 they introduced the PTP marine decking with a limited
lifetime warranty against rot, decay and delaminating. Godfrey Marine ranked as
the largest builders of boats in the US in 1995. Today they continue their
ranking as the largest pontoon builder in the United States.
